However, the city has made commendable efforts to reduce violent crime and enhance safety for its residents.
Lauderhill, a Florida city, has seen an increase in crime rates over the past few years. In 2022, this city of 72,000 residents recorded 632 violent crimes, a rise of more than 20% from 2018. Why does Miami Beach close at night?
The beach is closed to the public from 10 pm to sunrise. This is partly to deter crime and partly to deter people from sleeping there. It’s not very dangerous, but I don’t recommend a walk on the beach after 10 pm. I wouldn’t recommend walking along the beach, just because it is darker.
I wouldn’t recommend walking along the beach, just because it is darker. Walking along Ocean Drive which is right next to the beach should be fine, because there are plenty of hotels and nightclubs along there and the area is always busy. You are right about Collins Ave too, that should be fine as it has hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants and lots of people about. South Beach is very safe, just watch out for the cars, traffic is very heavy and people drive like idiots there. You’ll see kids in Lambos and Ferrari flying down the road. The beach is closed to the public from 10 pm to sunrise. This is partly to deter crime and partly to deter people from sleeping there. It’s not very dangerous, but I don’t recommend a walk on the beach after 10 pm.
