Love Florence Bowl …it was a big part of my childhood when my father and family bowl leagues. ..my mother would do the arobics classes in the back and us kids would play video games ….then I grew up and bowled on leagues with my work. ..and my kids ran around lol…lots of history and good memories at Florence bowl for a lot of people! !!
“Unique little spot, kinda hidden behind a pillar in the basement of the Stricklin Hotel. Four lanes of bowling, a few other games, good prices on drinks, really good bar food – again at good prices. Is it a bar? Is it a bowling alley? Is it a restaurant? Is it a music venue? Well…it’s all of that! (Although my husband says the foosball table needs servicing and isn’t up to serious play, but I think no one expects that in a place with only one table. The place has been remodeled some but the lanes were the best part. I don’t care what everything else looks like as long as I can count on a good game. An expensive game though. For my family of 4, two young ‘uns, it cost us over $70 to bowl two games. TWO GAMES! We didn’t even eat or else that would have easily put us over $100! At that cost we can’t afford bowling except on planned, special occasions. That is sad considering how much we love bowling. We used to be able to rent a lane by the hour. That was nice. The movies would have been cheaper and I could have splurged for popcorn and been “Dad of the Year.” Overall good time though and girls at counter in front were friendly.”
