The family reportedly visits Dr. Sands regularly, both for routine visits and pre-event pampering.

If post-veneers Kylie looks more like her sisters than she ever has, it’s for good reason. They all use the same Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist — Dr. Kevin Sands, DDS.
“I do 10,000 veneers a year,” Dr. Sands shares with E! News, saying that the procedure accounts for 90% of his Hollywood hotspot business. “That’s my specialty … It’s an elective procedure, but it changes people’s lives.”Located on Rodeo Drive, it’s no surprise that Dr. Sands’ appointment book is full of major celebrity names. His list of clients includes Miley Cyrus, Amber Rose, Iggy Azalea, Shay Mitchell, Megan Fox, Tyga, Justin Bieber, Robert Downey Jr., and more. People are never not curious about Kylie Jenner. (Spoiler alert: It’s us. We’re people.) There’s always something happening between her most recent cosmetic releases to babies, beaus, and everything in between. It’s no wonder the world is watching this glamorous branch on the Kardashian family tree. “I would over-line my lips with the lip liner to create the illusion of bigger lips and then, finally, I was like, this lip liner isn’t doing it and ended up getting my lips done,” she shares.Veneers cover the natural teeth for added shape, whitening, and polish. They’re usually made out of porcelain and can run up to $2,000 per tooth, Colgate shares.

Who is Kendall Jenner dentist?
Kendall Jenner is known for her appearances on the television show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and for her work as a model. Her smile is very important to the success of her career, which is why she comes to visit Dr. Sands.
And, of course, we are highly familiar with her closed-lipped smile. The girl can smize like nobody’s business. But we also know she’s had some work done to the natural one hiding in there. Let’s take a look at her veneer journey. There’s also speculation she’s had a breast augmentation and a “possible fat transfer to her hips and buttocks to further enhance her hourglass curves,” Elle shares.

Starting in her teens, Kylie confessed to using lip fillers, saying, “I have temporary lip fillers and it’s just an insecurity of mine, and it’s just what I wanted to do.” She was about 15 or 16 at the time, saying she didn’t want to talk to reporters about it.
Have you ever found yourself in a slump and wished there was something you could do to improve your mood? Feeling better about ourselves can be tough, especiallWhat do all celebrities have in common (beyond flat tummies and great bone structure)? Perfect smiles. You may not notice it immediately, but the vast majority of on-camera celebs have stellar smiles. You’re probably more likely to notice when a celebrity doesn’t have such a nice smile; in a sea of pearly whites, they’re a lot more obvious. Take a look at Steve Buscemi’s smile if you don’t believe us.

Just in our office, the introduction of no-prep veneers saw a huge rise in patients who were interested in getting veneers. With no-preps, you can get that perfect Hollywood smile without committing to veneers for life.
Veneers are thin porcelain overlays that sit on top of your teeth. Dentists make them custom for every patient so the shape, size, and shade are totally up to the patient. In order for veneers to fit over the teeth, dentists have to shave off a very small part of the natural enamel (this is called “prepping”). Because so many patients were turned-off of getting prepped veneers, dentists recently developed no-prep veneers which are thinner and can fit over un-prepped teeth. If you ever get tired of no-prep veneers, a dentist can easily remove them, revealing undamaged teeth underneath.

What is possible with cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry is a range of treatments designed to deliver your perfect smile – from teeth whitening and veneers to composite bonding and whole smile makeovers.
Veneers aren’t right for everyone — at least, not at first. Some people come into our office wanting that classic Hollywood smile but they have tooth decay and gum disease. Dr. Bobbi could easily place veneers over decay and disease (like some dentists do) but she doesn’t since that frequently creates a host of problems for the patient. Instead, she treats any underlying infection before crafting and placing the veneers. We want our patients to have beautiful and healthy smiles. So, how do the vast majority of celebs, from Matt Damon to Emma Watson, achieve such perfect teeth? One word: veneers. Cosmetic dentistry (veneers and no-prep veneers in particular) is the only sure-fire way to get a Hollywood-level smile. In the 80s and 90s, veneers were incredibly popular because they could give most anyone a perfect smile in only a few dental appointments. Their popularity tapered off in the 00s until a recent rise in interest in veneers thanks to Hollywood’s influence. More and more people are beginning to see just how transformative veneers can be — for celebs and non-celebs alike.A composite filling is made from composite resin, a material that can be colour matched to the shade of your natural teeth. This enables the filling to blend in with your natural teeth. The process involves the removal of the decayed tissue and the reshaping of the remaining tooth structure. The cosmetic dentist will skillfully layer the composite resin to fill the entire cavity. Finally, the dental professional will shape and polish the last layer to blend with the tooth. With proper care, composite fillings last up to 5 to 7 years.Dental implants can also be used with dentures to provide a stronger bite power similar to that of natural teeth. Conventional dentures have weaker bite power, which increases the risk of jawbone loss. Implants don’t need to be taken out and put back in.

A special area in dentistry that combines science and art, cosmetic dentistry treatments focus on improving the appearance of the teeth and smile, as well as oral health. With the advancement of technology, modern dental clinics offer cosmetic dentistry services that appeal to many people who desire to feel better about how they look. The difference between cosmetic dentistry and traditional dentistry is quite distinctive. While traditional dentistry focuses more on oral hygiene and treating various dental diseases, cosmetic dentistry is more about smile makeovers. Unlike traditional metal braces, patients can remove the clear aligners whenever they want to eat, drink, or brush their teeth. For best results, wear Invisalign for at least 22 hours a day. The dentist will insert a small titanium post (implant) into the bone socket of the missing tooth. After the insertion of the implant, osseointegration starts, a process taking several months. When osseointegration is complete, the dentist will attach the crown to the abutment. Once the implant has successfully fused to the bone, the implant-supported teeth will feel completely normal and natural.Cosmetic dentistry helps improve your smile by restoring missing, decayed, or damaged teeth. There are different types of cosmetic dentistry treatments designed to address other dental concerns, like stained, improperly spaced, unevenly shaped, and misaligned teeth. A cosmetic dentist can help you choose the right treatment that addresses your concerns.

While you can buy whitening toothpaste or at-home whitening kits in Sarnia, a cosmetic dentist uses safe ingredients and reliable dental equipment to deliver the results. In many cases, DIY whitening can put your dental health at risk. The cosmetic dental professional will provide you with personalized treatment to ensure less discomfort and quicker results.Dental veneers are customized for each patient. Given the proper care, porcelain veneers can last for many years. Using new materials, modern veneers are thinner, so they don’t need to be trimmed. Veneers cover chipped or discoloured teeth giving them a natural and healthy look.

One of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments for improving your smile is teeth whitening (or bleaching). What makes this treatment attractive is its affordability and relatively less invasive methods. If you are looking for a good alternative to traditional metal braces, you can never go wrong with Invisalign. This popular cosmetic dental treatment is a far less invasive solution to straighten your teeth.

Invisalign uses 3D imaging software to provide patients with several sets of customized clear aligners. Each set of clear aligners should be worn for 1 to 2 weeks before changing to the next set till they achieve the desired look.
When teeth whitening is not a viable solution due to stubborn intrinsic tooth staining and other functional concerns, porcelain veneers may be the best smile makeover option. This popular cosmetic dental treatment involves fitting a fabricated porcelain shell over a tooth to fix worn enamel, chips or cracks, uneven alignment, spacing, or discolouration.

Unlike custom-made veneers, tooth bonding only requires a single dental visit. While dental bonding is among the simplest and least costly cosmetic dental treatments, it needs more frequent replacements than veneers. Some people consider perfect teeth as one of the greatest assets. Having a beautiful, straight smile is not just about aesthetics, it also benefits both your dental health and your overall health, including:

The removal of stains can make your teeth look cleaner, stronger, and healthier. With a regular at-home oral healthcare routine, the results of professional teeth whitening in Sarnia can be long-lasting.
When it comes to replacing missing teeth, dental implants are more beneficial (in terms of functionality and appearance) than other conventional tooth replacement solutions. It can be used as a base for the dental plate. Now that you know the top 6 most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments to improve the look of your teeth, you now need to know how to find a trusted cosmetic dentist in Sarnia who can help you achieve your dream smile.

If you are looking for a cosmetic dentist near you, count on Lambton Family Dental. We have highly experienced cosmetic dental professionals who have redesigned the smiles of many satisfied Sarnia patients.

Tooth bonding is a more affordable cosmetic dental treatment than dental veneers. Dental bonding uses a UV light or laser to bond a tooth-coloured composite plastic resin to a tooth, producing instant results. Like veneer dentistry, this cosmetic dental enhancement also addresses dental issues, such as discoloured teeth, chipped or cracked teeth, or gaps between teeth. Additionally, dental bonding also helps repair a decayed tooth by applying resin to the cavity.
When you smile, you want the world to see your gorgeous teeth, but not all of your gum tissue too! Many people with “gummy smiles” don’t know that there are treatments available to cosmetically enhance the look of your gums. Let Dr. Carson reshape the appearance of your gum tissue to make it more proportional to your overall smile. You can begin enjoying your new smile in just a few comfortable visits.I’m very impressed with the new technology used in your practice and also appreciate the very warm feeling you and your staff provided with my first procedure. Your time is valuable. That’s why Dr. Carson has invested in the revolutionary CEREC™ system. CEREC™ is a technological system that allows for the fabrication of all porcelain crowns in a single visit. Porcelain fused to gold crowns require several visits, but with the CEREC™ system, a natural-looking restoration with many of the properties of natural teeth, can be custom created for you in less time assuring you of a more comfortable dental experience. Removing tooth decay effectively requires the removal of a portion of your tooth. To ensure your smile is beautiful and fully functional, Dr. Carson’s goal is to minimize the amount of natural tooth structure removed to restore the tooth back to health. Some ways of doing this include inlays and onlays. Dr Carson customizes a porcelain inlay or onlay to fill the space left behind when part of your tooth is removed. Traditionally, inlays and onlays were made out of metal, much like traditional filings. Now, porcelain inlays and onlays are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth and provide you relief from chewing pain, cavity pain and tooth degeneration. There are so many factors when it comes to your smile’s health. Sometimes gum disease, injury, decay or simply wear results in the loss of a tooth. One of the leading causes of missing teeth is not replacing missing teeth in the first place. When teeth are missing, your smile undergoes significant changes. Missing teeth cause you to chew differently, may cause mouth pain, and as your remaining teeth work to compensate for the loss, gaps and spaces form that only make the situation worse. Don’t let missing teeth ruin your quality of life and your entire smile! A porcelain bridge, custom designed by Dr. Carson, keeps your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth. Porcelain bridges are cemented in place by Dr. Carson and can be a long-term restorative solution to your damaged smile. Ever wanted a movie star smile? Now you can have one! Porcelain veneers are a technique used to get the dramatic, gorgeous results you see on most of the television and magazine smile makeovers. Porcelain veneers are custom made, thin strips of porcelain adhered to the fronts of existing teeth to create a natural, beautiful smile. Veneers can be used to correct dental issues such as crooked or chipped teeth, gaps in teeth, and discolored teeth. It only takes a few appointments. Show the world the beauty and self-confidence that comes from a brilliant, natural-looking smile. Years of wear and tear, injury, or poor care can hurt the look and function of your teeth. Stop feeling self conscious about your smile and let our compassionate cosmetic dentistry team craft a new, beautiful smile for you that is fully functional and feels great! Begin facing the world head on and smiling bright once again!Dr. Carson’s team gave me a proactive approach to my teeth. They gave me an honest appraisal of what needs to be done, in what order and what I felt I could afford.

Strength and esthetics are the main advantages. Because composites bond to the tooth to support the remaining tooth structure, it helps to prevent breakage and insulate the tooth from excessive temperature changes. In addition, we can blend shades to create a color identical to that of the actual tooth. Cosmetic dentistry at its finest!
I highly recommend Dr. Carson. He is thorough, knowledgeable and the experience in the work that was done was unsurpassed. I really appreciated the onsite crown procedure. It saved me time and discomfort.

What is the difference between a dentist and a cosmetic dentist?
Cosmetic dentistry focuses on enhancing the patient’s facial appearance while general dentistry is concerned with the prevention and treatment of dental disorders. However, some cosmetic procedures can have oral health benefits and you may find that your general dentist carries out a range of cosmetic procedures.
Enjoy a perfectly aligned smile without ever wearing metal braces. We offer many systems that use clear, removable aligners to incrementally straighten your teeth. You never have to suffer through uncomfortable brackets or wires, and because you remove the aligners to eat and drink, there are no food restrictions or problems with brushing or flossing.Your custom home whitening kit involves a special tray that is customized to fit over your teeth. You also receive prescription whitening gel, which is inserted into the tray before you wear it. We will explain to you in detail the use of your custom trays. Expect the entire home whitening process to take between one and two weeks, leaving you with a radiant smile. Beware of the over counter teeth whitening methods that you see in the stores. They may not be as effective or right for you. Talk to Dr. Carson about your cosmetic dental options before using any teeth whitening products.

What do celebrities use to fix their teeth?
veneers One word: veneers. Cosmetic dentistry (veneers and no-prep veneers in particular) is the only sure-fire way to get a Hollywood-level smile. In the 80s and 90s, veneers were incredibly popular because they could give most anyone a perfect smile in only a few dental appointments.
My teeth used to bother me when I ate certain foods and now they look and feel great. Dr. Carson and his staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable at all times. They’re the best!Over your lifetime, your smile endures a tremendous amount of stress. Teeth may show this wear in a variety of ways, including discoloration, chipping and cracking. Crowns restore your teeth and smile to look brilliant once again. Porcelain crowns can be made metal free or with porcelain fused to gold. Porcelain crowns can be shaded to match your teeth. After some tooth preparation, crowns are specifically fitted to restore functionality and enhance the appearance of your smile. Regain all the functionality in your smile again with porcelain crowns. Please let Dr. Carson know if you have any metal or gold allergies. Composites are some of the strongest materials in use today. Composite is a tooth-colored mixture of specialized polymer resins filled with microscopic ceramic particles. Composites are used to fill cavities, and for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth. Bonding can repair chipped teeth, broken teeth, discoloration and in some cases, space between teeth. Tooth-colored resin is adhered directly to your damaged tooth. Bonding is generally considered less invasive than veneers or other cosmetic dentistry. You can maintain the natural structure of your tooth while the color and sculpting from the resin creates natural looking teeth.

More than 15 percent of adults in the U.S. suffer from chronic facial pain. TMD can cause severe discomfort and interfere with your daily activities and quality of life.
Our clear aligners are virtually unnoticeable, so it is likely no one will ever know you are undergoing treatment-all they will see is your dazzling smile!Get ready to flash those pearly whites! Experience all the confidence and beauty that comes from a dazzling white smile. Teeth whitening is safe, effective and long lasting. Choose from two main methods to get excellent results: in-office professional whitening or a custom home teeth whitening kit.

It can seem like a waste of money to have your teeth improved in these ways, but it’s actually more important than you may think. If you think that it does nothing more than change your looks, first understand that this can be powerful. It can improve confidence, which can improve a person’s relationships with friends and family, and can even help improve their career.
Aesthetic dentistry also helps to improve speech. How? It’s simple. If a person has teeth that are missing or poorly aligned, then the result may be a lisp or other special issues. Once these dental flaws are dealt with, the speech may improve. Finally, improvements to your teeth can improve your overall health. The straighter, and more evenly aligned teeth are, the easier they are to care for. The easier they are to care for, the less likely they are to suffer from decay, gum disease, and other health issues.

The simplest definition of aesthetic dentistry is dentistry that’s designed specifically to make your mouth and teeth look more beautiful. Many patients then wonder if this is the same thing as cosmetic dentistry. The answer is yes and no. While it may be interchangeable, the word “cosmetic” tends to imply work that’s on the surface, such as adding dental veneers, while aesthetic dentistry make deal with more significant changes, such as dental implants.

The answer is typically no because we design cosmetic treatments to be resilient to change. However, after your new smile is complete, routine follow-up visits every 6 months are recommended to make sure the dentistry continues to look great and function properly. We may advise you on a few new regimens for at-home care, for example, we commonly recommend a nightguard to protect your teeth following a smile makeover, especially if you have a history of tooth wear. Other ongoing maintenance may include a once-a-month application of bleaching gel following teeth whitening, or a toothpaste that is non-abrasive so porcelain veneers and composite resin veneers aren’t dulled by over-the-counter toothpastes that can scratch the highly polished surfaces.

Is cosmetic dentistry healthy?
Additionally, these products will only whiten teeth one shade if used correctly. If you need to brighten your teeth more, a dentist will give much better results in less time. Yes, cosmetic dentistry is safe, but only if you visit a dentist to get the treatments.
It is true that sometimes we need to reduce the size and shape of teeth to accommodate the cosmetic improvements we are trying to make. The more conservative the treatment, the more skill is required for the dentist and ceramist to create a natural result, which is why finding the right cosmetic dentist is important.Teeth whitening has become more common and advancements in dental technology have made it easier than ever to get a brighter smile. Although you may see whitening products at the store, professional teeth whitening by our cosmetic dentist can help you achieve the smile of your dreams in a safer and more effective manner. If you’re considering a change to the appearance of your smile or making the investment in restoring your teeth, Digital Smile Design can show you the destination before you embark on the journey. Modern technology makes it possible to plan your entire treatment using computer simulations. If you are an adult and you want to explore your options for a straighter and healthier smile, you are not alone. In order to align your teeth, you can use traditional wire and bracket braces or clear aligner trays. In some cases, a combination of the two may be the best option for you.

Digital smile design technology makes it possible to “test drive” your smile before you commit to a cosmetic dental treatment and allows you to be an active participant in the creation of your new smile. The software allows you and your cosmetic dentist to select the size, shape, and color of your future teeth to create a smile preview. You can then share the smile preview photos with friends and family if you want feedback to ensure the smile design is natural and right for you.Veneers are thin, custom-made, porcelain coverings that are used to resurface your teeth and can transform your teeth in nearly any way you can imagine. From shape to size to color, dental veneers give you the power to recreate your ideal smile. We utilize advanced smile preview software and work with you to design your ideal smile.

We believe a smile can’t be beautiful if it is not also healthy. Our approach to smile enhancements is to achieve the patient’s desired outcome with minimal dentistry. We utilize technology and minimally invasive procedures to help you preserve your existing teeth and keep your smile healthy and beautiful with preventative care.
A smile is a form of communication that speaks all languages. It says, “hello” and is a projection of confidence. The smile is often undervalued or overlooked when individuals are looking to make a change to improve their appearance and quality of life. Modern dental technology has made it easier than ever to enjoy the benefits of an improved smile and comfortably undergo treatment.

There are 2 materials we can use to create your veneers. Composite resin is a faster and more budget-friendly alternative to porcelain veneers and we can construct resin veneers in our office in a single visit. This option, which is also known as dental bonding, sometimes requires less tooth preparation, making it a good choice for teens or young adults who’ve had very little previous dentistry. Porcelain veneers are fabricated in a dental laboratory to be very strong and look extremely natural. Porcelain is very comparable to our actual enamel in appearance, strength and durability, and polish. Porcelain veneers are easier to maintain and will provide a luster and polish unmatched by composite.

Repair chipped, cracked, and slightly misaligned teeth using modern and non-invasive tooth bonding and composite veneers treatments. Try it today to reimagine your smile!
Dear valued patients and friends, After spending 32 years doing what I love with some of the people I enjoy most, both patients and staff, I am sad to announce that I will be stepping away from Dentistry. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to serve you as your dentist and will always appreciate your trust and confidence in me.I had always planned to work another five to seven years, but circumstances require an alteration to that plan due to recent unexpected news my family and I have received. As many of you have noted, I am exhausted and now am forced to put my health first. For the next two years, I will be spending much of my time at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas seeking medical solutions for Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. With the exhaustion, fatigue and other symptoms from this disease and ongoing treatment, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain the schedule and provide the quality of treatment that you all deserve and have experienced here in our office. I have been told that my health will require my total commitment, time and effort. Bummer! I have had a wonderful family of patients and have worked beside some of the most caring and skilled staff I have ever known. I have been truly blessed. It gives me great comfort to know that my patients and staff will continue to be attended to by Dr. Karley Schneider DMD. A few years ago, we were blessed to have Dr. Schneider as an associate in our office. Her husband Luke and their families are well known and respected by the Tucson community and by many of you. She is a skilled practitioner with a true passion for Dentistry and will put her heart and soul into this practice, continuing the care and commitment you have come to expect. You will immediately share the confidence we have in her. I cannot thank each and every one of you, again, for many years of loyalty and fun. Kathy and I will miss you all very much. Below are my personal phone number and email if you have any questions, wishes or blessings for me. I may not be able to respond right away but please know that we appreciate all your kind words and prayers. Because wisdom teeth often have no place to go, they can get stuck, or impacted, growing beneath a second molar. If they are unable to push up through the gums, they’ll push sideways, growing horizontally or at an angle and emerging from the side of the gums. Wisdom teeth can also strong-arm their way into the mouth, pushing aside or damaging second molars, which can cause a chain reaction and move all the teeth. Hello, or hello again I should say to many of you! In fact, this type of treatment is so common that you can find many options over the counter at the pharmacy. Like all cosmetic options, whitening is something you should see a dentist for the right outcome. Over-the-counter options can come with poor results or extra side effects. A dentist can give you better results with fewer downsides. Cosmetic dental procedures provide many benefits for patients. Those embarrassed by their smiles can gain the confidence to show off their pearly whites. Feeling freer to smile can benefit social and professional circles because you’ll be seen as friendlier and more open. Dental implants permanently fill in holes in the smile. This procedure prevents bone loss from a missing tooth, helps other teeth maintain alignment, and improves the smile’s look. Because the implant is fixed to the jaw, it feels and looks like a natural tooth.Cosmetic dentistry is a field of dental care that focuses on improving the smile. Compared to preventative dentistry, which includes exams and cleanings to prevent decay. Restorative dentistry can sometimes overlap with cosmetic procedures. However, the latter makes them look better.

Finally, since many patients need multiple procedures to get their desired smiles, some dentists offer smile makeovers. These treatments combine cosmetic procedures to improve the patient’s smile. Smile makeovers are elective procedures that differ from full smile rehabilitation. A smile rehabilitation focuses on providing treatments to restore function to a patient’s mouth by repairing damaged teeth or bite problems.
Due to the elective nature of cosmetic dental procedures and their wide availability, some patients wonder, “Is cosmetic dentistry safe?” The answer depends on multiple factors, including your dental health and provider.

With cosmetic dental procedures, anyone can improve the appearance of their teeth. However, many patients wonder, “Is cosmetic dentistry safe?” This is a valid question, with an answer that depends on where the treatment takes place and the patient’s existing dental health. At Matthews Family Dentistry, we want to clarify the safety of cosmetic dental procedures so that they can make an informed choice.
Teeth and gums should be healthy before any cosmetic procedure. A dentist who also does cosmetic treatments can conduct exams and offer restorative treatments, if needed, before doing cosmetic work.

Even some in-office procedures cause permanent changes. For example, veneers require removing a small amount of the tooth and its enamel to allow the veneer to be placed. If the veneers need replacing in the future, you will need another set of veneers instead of bonding. However, your dentist should discuss the pros and cons of veneers before the procedure and let you decide the best option for your dental health and appearance.
For decades, to get straighter smiles, people had to rely on metal braces with painful wires. However, nowadays, adults can benefit from Invisalign clear aligner trays to straighten their teeth without traditional braces. Invisalign is another type of cosmetic dental procedure that you can only get from a dentist. While other options exist, they may not perform as well or produce the same results as custom-created Invisalign trays and a treatment process monitored by your dentist. As with all types of dental procedures, there are some risks. The chances of risks increase for over-the-counter or at-home options that are not overseen or prescribed by a dentist. Getting cosmetic dental work done without an evaluation by a dentist raises the risks of improper outcomes or severe side effects.

One type of procedure that can overlap between restorative and cosmetic is dental implants. These permanent dental pieces replace missing teeth or can serve as anchors for dentures or bridges. Because implants require surgery to put the screw into the jaw and place the crown, this procedure option is only available from qualified dental professionals.

They can also answer your questions about your case, including “Is cosmetic dentistry safe?” To schedule a visit with one of our dentists, contact us now. Another type of cosmetic treatment is using veneers or bonding to restore the appearance of individual teeth. These fixtures fit over the existing teeth to cover the appearance of chips, uneven coloring, or length differences. They look like natural teeth and, in the case of veneers, can last up to a decade. Getting cosmetic dental treatments from anywhere other than a qualified dentist creates a significant level of risk for side effects and undesired outcomes. A dentist ensures that they perform cosmetic procedures on healthy teeth. Plus, they can reduce the chances of side effects by expertly conducting cosmetic treatments in a controlled environment. For instance, over-the-counter whitening kits are generally safe for most people, but if you have existing sensitivity or undiagnosed gum disease, you could experience pain from using over-the-counter whitening kits. Strips or trays designed for universal use may not fit your mouth. Your gums could get the bleaching agent on them, causing pain. People with teeth sensitivity may also worsen their condition after using these over-the-counter products. Additionally, these products will only whiten teeth one shade if used correctly. If you need to brighten your teeth more, a dentist will give much better results in less time. Many of the tools a cosmetic dentist uses overlap with those of family, general, and restorative dentists. However, they may incorporate a number of specialty tools, including:Because cosmetic care is meant to improve the appearance of your smile, it’s important to know what you can realistically expect from your results. Many cosmetic dentists use traditional or digital methods to provide a preview of your results during an initial consultation.

They all use the same Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist — Dr. Kevin Sands, DDS. That’s right, he has work
ed on all three Kardashian and both Jenner sisters. Kylie got her full set of porcelain veneers when she was about 18.
Cosmetic dentists have virtually unlimited treatment options to fit your needs and budget. If you want straighter teeth but do not necessarily need orthodontics, for example, your dentist may recommend porcelain veneers.

In most cases, patients suspecting dental health problems will visit a general dentist first. Those looking to improve their appearance are more likely to seek the services of a cosmetic dentist.Cosmetic dentists may charge more than general dentists in certain instances. For example, if you need a filling, a cosmetic dentist – being concerned about the appearance of a patient’s smile – will tend to favor composite materials to match your tooth’s color, and composite fillings are more expensive than amalgam fillings.
