2022 is indeed a special year not only for San Carlos but also for the entire world as we pick up the bits and pieces of our lives from 2 years of pandemic. During the Goblin Walk, children and parents are strongly recommended to wear masks for their own safety. Well, our smiles might be hidden, and we may not be able to hug as much, but the sound of laughter as we gather in Laurel Street dressed in our weird costumes is good enough and something to be thankful for.
This year, as is tradition, our friendly local business owners in Laurel Street will be opening their doors to children ages 7 below and their parents from 4-5:30PM – just enough time reach every shop and restaurant from San Carlos Avenue to Arroyo Avenue. The first 1,000 Trick-or-Treaters can pick up a Goblin Walk Trick-or-Treat bag at Harrington Park or from any Goblin Walk volunteer—but who wants a small bag when you can fill a whole wagon with the help of your family. Also, since health is becoming a trend, you might expect to get something non-sugarry this year, like an avocado, a pack of nuts, or some veggie chips enough to make you cry.
