We are a private optometric office in Los Gatos providing comprehensive family vision care since 1978. Our office offers excellent personal optometric services that has allowed us to see our third generation of patient families and become one of the most well-established practices in the valley.Our office is now open. We are scheduling patients for routine examinations and office visits. We have made changes to our office procedure with careful screening and health protocols for the health and safety of patients and office staff. Our doors are open for all patients with appointments. Dr. Gong is a 4th generation Californian born and raised in Visalia, CA. She attended the University of California at Berkeley receiving her Bachelor of Optometry and Doctor of Optometry degrees. After graduation, she taught and lectured at the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry for 20 years in the pre-clinic course as well as binocular vision and pediatrics.Dr. Le is a therapeutically licensed optometrist, trained to practice full scope optometry from prescribing glasses and contacts to managing ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma. Although Dr. Le enjoyed her time in Southern California and Arizona, she knew that the Bay Area had her heart. In her spare time, Dr. Le enjoys hiking, cooking, drinking boba and creating digital art.

Dr. Sweeney was born in San Francisco and raised in Moraga and Fresno. He attended UCLA earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics before attending UC Berkeley School of Optometry. At UC Berkeley, he obtained a Bachelor of Optometry and his Doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Gong has been in private practice in Los Gatos since 1973 and very happy to continue seeing patients from that first year. She was joined in the office by her husband, Dr. Kenneth Sweeney, in 1983 and they have enjoyed a complementary optometric partnership ever since. Her emphasis is family eyecare specializing in pediatrics and binocular vision.

In his final year at UC Berkeley, Dr. Sweeney was involved in extended wear contact lens research and lens design at CooperVision Optics in San Jose. After graduation, he continued his work at CooperVision until he joined his wife, Dr. Janis Gong, in private practice in 1983. Dr. Sweeney has a special interest in contact lenses but also enjoys providing comprehensive family eyecare including the treatment of eye diseases and refractive surgery co-management. Dr. Le is a Bay Area native and grew up in San Jose, CA. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from UC Berkeley and obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry. Her clinical training included rotations within the VA system, serving a population with a high incidence of eye disease. She takes special interest in fitting multifocal contact lenses and finding visual solutions for presbyopic patients. Dr. Gaudreau’s clinical emphasis is in contact lenses and the disease treatment of the eye, including special interest in the treatment of dry eyes. Dr. Gaudreau enjoys performing eye exams on all ages, including children. Dr. Parya Gaudreau graduated from Illinois College of Optometry – Chicago in 2012 with Magna Cum Laude honors. Dr. Gaudreau is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and the Santa Clara County Optometric Society. She is an eye doctor licensed in the use of therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceutical agents, which allows her to diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular disease, including glaucoma. The following is a list of recommended courses at this institution that will fulfill the minimum prerequisites for Berkeley Optometry. Our office has updated these courses to the best of our knowledge based upon the school catalog.Dr.Breckenridge took over Children’s Eye Care of Los Gatos in 2011, and since that time the practice has expanded greatly drawing pediatric and adult patients from as far as Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Monterey, and even Seattle. She is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital and performs procedures at Los Gatos Surgical Center as well.

Dr. Linda Zhao joined Children’s Eye Care of Los Gatos in 2014. She grew up in the Bay Area, attended the University of California at San Diego, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. Her clinical training included rotations at SUNY for ocular disease and vision rehabilitation, the VA Hospital in Tucson, Arizona, and a local private practice specializing in primary care, pediatric eye care, and vision therapy. She understands the intricate needs of children and has extensive experience managing binocular vision disorders such as strabismus and amblyopia. She helped the office implement an exciting myopia control program. She enjoys working alongside the amazing team at Children’s Eye Care.
