Over the last month, I’ve worn the Base Line ($75) and Evasive Tortoise Gold ($85) models, and here’s what I thought of this affordable sunglasses brand.To try out the latest trends without breaking the bank, Quay sunglasses are absolutely worth it. Their glasses are well-made and fashion-forward, with models that update traditional silhouettes in unexpected colors, materials, and lens styles.

If I had a single criticism of Quay sunglasses, it would be that certain styles are almost too oversized. That being said, this is entirely a function of personal taste and some of their larger face-shield styles might be just the right fit for fans of oversized shades. The Base Line model, for example, are much larger than the typical sunglasses I wear—and combined with their soft pink frames and reflective lenses, it felt like a lot of look. Ultimately, I only wore these glasses outside my home on rare occasions. This was an experience shared by our former tester as well, who wrote, “If I could have it my way, I’d bring them in about 1/4 of an inch so there’s less space between my temples and the frames.”
