Having only met them once before the big day, I feel a disproportionate amount of love for these two! (Although the first time we met, we went for a 25 mile bike ride in 100 degree heat, so that was a pretty good way to bond quickly lol).
Shepherd’s Run was the perfect backdrop for Elena and Sara’s elegant garden party wedding to take place. The venue is a french Romanesque-inspired chateau turned vineyard, with preserved history around every corner. Located in South Kingstown, it’s a dream spot for anyone looking for a European-inspired wedding venue in the northeast. To read more about Shepherd’s Run and other European-inspired wedding venues in New England, check out some of my personal recommendations, here.
It was beautiful to witness Sara and Elena’s people being so forthcoming with their affection for the couple. Everyone was smiling and crying and giving hugs and kisses all day. The sheer amount of joy was overwhelming and I feel so lucky to have been part of it. Sara and Elena met at an Orange Theory in Rhode Island and immediately hit it off. They fell in love and the rest is history. They’ve been inseparable ever since and have a sweet dog together, named Mateo! Surrounded by family, friends, and their co-ed bridal parties, they exchanged I do’s under the chuppah in the enclosed garden. With sweet personal touches playfully intertwined into their garden party wedding at Shepherd’s Run, (like Elena’s margaritas and Sara’s spiked Dell’s Lemonade during cocktail hour) no detail was overlooked. Sara and Elena truly just had the biggest smiles on their faces throughout the day. From their double-first-look to their energetic dance floor, they looked like the happiest people in the world. On their wedding day, Elena and Sara truly outdid themselves with their custom ivory outfits by Lovebird Bridal and Justin Alexander. Their florals totally fit their elegant garden party wedding vibe with a palette of pale blues and peachy yellows. They also each incorporated sentimental details like Sara’s necklace made with the diamond from her grandmother’s engagement ring.
If you’re hoping for an intimate, joy-filled wedding, you’re in the right place. To have all of your moments captured in an candid, meaningful way, you can connect with me here! To explore more intimate wedding venues in New England, I rounded up some favorites in a recent blog, here! Elena and Sara are two of the most captivating people I’ve ever met. They are so full of joy and compassion, so eager to learn everything about you, and so willing to open up their lives in turn. They immediately made me and Max feel not only like friends, but like family. I’m not exaggerating when I say that Elena and Sara’s wedding day was overflowing with love. Sometimes I tear up during couples’ vows, or occasionally during a sweet reception toast. But, at this wedding, I had already cried like three times before the ceremony even started. Now Booking for 2023! One of my favorite hair and makeup artists to work with Jenna always feels like a positive force in any wedding vendor team I’ve been a part of. Always willing to support the client, and make sure that a couple and their guests feel as confident and beautiful as possible, Jenna has trained in a variety of places and spent a ton of time investing in her craft. Jenna and her team are capable of working with any skin tone and hair texture.
Although this is also a list of two separate companies what I’m going to say about both is absolutely true for both. Peak and Ryan Designs are capable of delivering incredible decor and rentals for any style of wedding, and are again amazing companies that you can just say “work your magic please” and they’ll deliver an incredible spread worthy of any magazine.
