Tassel Top is a town beach that is open to the public, and there is a wooden sign for the park, but it is kind of hard to spot. The park is behind the Jordan Bay Veterinary hospital, so keep your eye out for their sign, though you should be able to just use our coordinates. This one was a little difficult to rate, because it is a gorgeous beach, but very crowded. We visited on a Saturday and they were turning cars away. They let us stop to take pictures though, and it is easy to see why it is so popular. The water is a beautiful turquoise, and the swimming area is large and long. The beach has an unusual setup, as it is a narrow strip of sand (maybe 12 ft. from the wood to the water) with tree-shaded picnic sites just alongside. It is very charming, though you do feel like you’re walking through someone’s party. There is a slightly wider section of beach at the beginning of the trail, which seems sort of like the “main” beach.
