However, DO NOT rely on the staff to make transportation arrangements to important doctor’s office appointments or to take your loved one home. They don’t seem to care much about things like that. They are very short staffed, and you may have to change dirty diapers regularly, or take your loved one to the potty, or take your own trash out. I guess they do not hear the buzzer and they do not see the light. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before taking someone I care about there. I’m sorry I put her through that.

The “facility failed to have procedures addressing residents with a history of illicit drug use. The facility failed to have procedures in place to ensure adequate monitoring of a resident after an incident of suspected illicit drug use in the facility.”The assessment revealed that “the resident was homeless living in his car before admission to the hospital” and was accepted at the facility. However, “there were no additional notes on the assessment addressing the substance abuse or use of cigarettes.”

Get out of my room.”The investigators determined that the facility “failed to ensure staff is trained on what to monitor on a resident with possible drug abuse.” A resident “was found with the used syringe and needle wrapped in a toilet tissue paper in his bathroom on one incident.”Texas and federal investigators have the legal authority to penalize any nursing home that has been cited for a serious violation that harmed or could have harmed in nursing home resident. Typically, these penalties include imposed monetary fines and denial of payment for Medicare services.
