Some issues within a nursing home are much more severe than others. Medicare evaluates each problem based on 2 scales: the number of residents affected by a problem and the severity of the potential or actual harm to residents based on the problem. We have color coded the matrix below to make it easier to pick out the more severe problems. In general, orange and red issues related to the treatment of a resident are considered substandard quality of care.
I have worked with the new Executive Director from previous a facility and he is very passionate about serving the healthcare communities. Very caring and motivated to see the patients do well as well as his co-workers. We have been through many successful state surveys and many late nights ensuring patients and resident have the best outcomes.

Turnover is the percent of staff that stop working in a facility within a given year. Lower is better because staff that work at a facility for longer periods may be more familiar with the residents and procedures of the facility.

Christina was very helpful and far exceeded my expectations! She was patient and quickly responded to all my questions. I’ve be extremely satisfied with the level of care my loved one is receiving.Medicare determines the expected staffing time per resident per day depending on level of care the residents of The Vosswood Nursing Center require. It is important to compare the reported time to expected time for a single facility instead of comparing the amount of time per resident of two facilities. Learn why.The staff has been so helpful during this transition for my family. Jamie really made the process easier and answered all our concerns. It is such a lovely place. We feel confident we made the right decision. If you love someone, DO NOT take them here. A few of the nurses and aids were extremely nice and helpful, and the OT and PT therapists were great. However, DO NOT rely on the staff to make transportation arrangements to important doctor’s office appointments or to take your loved one home. They don’t seem to care much about things like that. They are very short staffed, and you may have to change dirty diapers regularly, or take your loved one to the potty, or take your own trash out. I guess they do not hear the buzzer and they do not see the light. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before taking someone I care about there. I’m sorry I put her through that.

I met with The Executive Director at this community and what a wonderful experience. Maurice was able to give me a tour of the facility and introduce his wonderful team. Great team, great experience. Come visit The Vosswood for your loved one.
