Barkan Management was engaged by Extell, a New York based developer to provide pre-construction consulting, work collaboratively with senior representatives of the Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts and open the project in November of 2006. Barkan has enjoyed a long relationship with this community and currently manages the Primary Unit and Residences.Since long before the Big Dig and the Rose Kennedy Greenway made the neighborhood so desirable, the 40 stories of Harbor Towers have stood attractively on the edge of Boston Harbor. Barkan Management has managed the property since 1997 through tremendous disruptions and change. As a pair of 45-year old towers containing 624 condominium units, the capital replacement projects are complex and require extensive coordination with residents, elevators, and parking. Barkan Management was initially engaged for start-up consulting, leasing and management when the first phase opened with 131 loft-style apartment homes and six commercial spaces.
