The United States has one of the biggest road networks in the world, and it also has one of the highest rates of drivers. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the United States also has the largest number of car accidents in the world. In 2018, the United States had more than two million motor vehicle accidents. It led to more than three million injuries and more than 37,000 deaths. In addition to having the largest network of roads, the United States is also the second largest consumer of automobiles. Because there are so many people who drive in the United States, and because there are so many miles of roads, the United States also has a very high rate of motor vehicle accidents.

The United States has more than four times the number of car accidents of any other country in the world. The country with the second most motor vehicle accidents is Japan. Japan has close to 500,000 car accidents per year. The most recent year for which there is data is 2018. This resulted in the deaths of close to 4,700 people and more than 600,000 injuries. Even though this is a large number, it is far behind the United States. Japan has the third-most cars in the world, and it has the sixth-largest network of roads. Therefore, it is a significant consumer of motor vehicles, and there are a lot of drivers in the country.

Given that China has a lot of people, there are a lot of individuals who believe that China should have a lot of motor vehicle accidents as well. In reality, China has a large mass transit system and does not have as many drivers as others. Many people live in the rural parts of China, where there is not a strong road network. China had the eighth-highest number of motor vehicle accidents in the world in 2018. It reported approximately 212,000 accidents, but some people believe that the real number could be significantly higher. China could have more drivers in the future, which could contribute to more accidents.
There is a saying that a car accident is more likely to happen when you do not expect it. Even though it is true that a car accident can happen at just about any time, it is also true that there are several common causes of car accidents. Even though there has been significant pressure to reduce the rates of drunk driving, it is still one of the most common causes of car accidents in the world. Some of the other common causes of car accidents include a lack of maintenance, bad weather, distracted driving, and driving while tired. Which countries have the highest rates of motor vehicle accidents in the world? The driver of the Ford was attempting to make a left turn on to S.C. 160 from a private drive when it collided with the SUV that was traveling on S.C. 160, Jones said. The Ford then struck a third vehicle, Jones said. The York County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the person who was killed. The highway patrol and coroner’s office are investigating. The man was driving westbound on Route 30 when he crosssed the median, lost control and struck two other vehicles. His vehicle landed on its roof in the eastbound lane.In this study, we compiled data on numbers and types of fatal car accidents, insurance rates and populations to determine the state with the best drivers. (Click here for the full methodology.)

Insurance costs can be a drag. If you’re looking for way to lower your premiums, the suggestions below might help. But before you get started, make sure you understand your state’s insurance requirements. Insurers are likely using a variety of factors to determine car insurance premiums, like laws related to insurance coverage, age, gender, type of car, location, crime rates, and individuals’ driving records. That means that we can use premiums to help get a handle on how risky insurers think it is to have a car in a particular state. There are two ways to look at fatal car accidents by state: gross or per capita. The first is simply a raw total of the number of deadly car crashes, while the second reveals the rate at which these kinds of accidents happen.Vermont led the pack with a decrease of 36.23%, but New York had the greatest decline in absolute numbers. There were 193 fewer fatal crashes in 2019 than in 2009 in New York. It’s unclear what led to the decrease in accidents, though it seems unrelated to population change. This is likely because insurance agencies use a mosaic of factors when deciding how much to charge in premiums. Though traffic fatalities might be in the mix, there could be other components that would influence rates. States with larger populations are going to have more accidents because there are more people, but that might not necessarily translate into a higher accident rate. Let’s take Wyoming as an example. Wyoming is the least-populous state in the union, with a total population of 578,759. There were 120 fatal car accidents in Wyoming in 2019, with a per capita rate of 0.02073% of deadly accidents. That translates into 20.73 fatal car accidents per 100,000 people in Wyoming in 2019 — the highest rate in the nation.Oregon had the largest percent change, while California had the biggest increase in raw total crashes. Similar to the list of states with decreases, population change doesn’t seem to be strongly correlated with an increase in accidents.

Is it a car accident or a car crash?
There is no legal difference between the terms “crash” and “accident” but they create different impressions. A crash is a wreck or collision that is due to the fault of one or more parties.
One thing to note: The District of Columbia was omitted from the rankings because it’s technically not a state. If it were, D.C. would have the lowest gross and per capita fatal car accidents out of any state. In 2019, there were only 22 deadly car crashes, with a rate of 0.00313% accidents per capita. That means for every 100,000 individuals living in D.C., 3.13 were involved in a fatal car accident in 2019.

According to our study, Massachusetts was the safest state for drivers and South Carolina was the most dangerous. Read on to see where your state falls on the list.To find out which states had the best and worst drivers, we combined data for each state on average monthly car insurance premium, the number of people killed in car accidents every year, the total number of fatal crashes every year, and the alcohol-impaired driving fatality rate per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. The table that follows shows the rankings for each state in the main categories used in this study. In our rankings, lower is better. For example, Massachusetts is the overall safest state for drivers. It has the eighth-cheapest insurance cost, and it has the second-lowest number of accident-related fatalities and second-lowest number of fatal crashes. Massachusetts has the fewest number of alcohol-related traffic fatalities out of all 50 states. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s latest data show there were 33,244 traffic fatalities in the United States in 2019. The most common type of accident involved another motor vehicle, followed by collisions with fixed objects.

To identify the states with the best and worst drivers, we analyzed all 50 U.S. states using the criteria below. States were given a score for each factor. Scores were combined and states were then ranked by final scores.By contrast, California has 8.39 fatal car accidents per 100,000 people. Even though California has more deadly accidents overall, you’re less likely to experience a fatal crash in California than in Wyoming.

How many car accidents happen a day in the US?
Car accidents are a leading cause of injury and death in the U.S. In fact, at least 7.3 million motor vehicle accidents occur each year across the nation, according to recent data and the latest findings from authorities. And that works out to roughly: 19,937 crashes every day.

How do I find out about local car accidents?
Police Departments: State and local law enforcement agencies may also be able to provide basic information about auto accidents. If you call a local police department, they may be able to tell you if an official crash report listed a person’s name as having been involved in an accident in recent days/hours.
In our data set, car insurance premiums and per capita fatal car accidents aren’t correlated, which means that we can’t use the rate of deadly crashes to predict car insurance premiums.Perhaps most alarming is that the total number of crashes increased from the previous year (it was 10,108 in 2020). Traffic crashes are trending in the wrong direction.

Have you or someone you love been injured in a car accident in Philadelphia? If someone else is at least partly responsible, you may be entitled to compensation from them. Contact an experienced Philadelphia car accident lawyer at Zavodnick & Lasky Personal Injury Lawyers to learn more about your legal rights and options. How common are traffic accidents in Philadelphia, PA, though? How dangerous are they? And what can be done to reduce the number of traffic accidents in Philadelphia? Here are some important statistics relating to car accidents in Philadelphia as well as some information about how Zavodnick & Lasky Personal Injury Lawyers can help in the event of an incident.
Zavodnik & Lasky Personal Injury Lawyers is a prominent personal injury law firm in the City of Philadelphia. We have over 30 years of combined experience and possess the skills and knowledge necessary to provide you with excellent legal representation.Every day, its population swells as workers and students commute into the city limits. As a result, it’s really no surprise that car accidents are fairly common in Philly.

Car crashes are common, but how serious are they? In 2021, 63% of accidents in Philadelphia County resulted in injury or death. And 11.1% of all fatal crashes in Pennsylvania occurred in Philadelphia County.
How does the city plan to do this? The city took a look at Philadelphia crash data and identified why, when, where, and how accidents were happening. As it turns out, half of all severe injuries and traffic deaths occur on “just 12 percent of Philadelphia streets.” These streets, known as the “High Injury Network” are the first to be targeted under the Vision Zero program.Studies show that these commuters are at a greater risk of injury or death than vehicle drivers and passengers. And pedestrian deaths are spiking around Philly and around the nation. The lockdown and reduced traffic of the COVID-19 pandemic provided no relief. In fact, things became deadlier. Data from the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia reveals that there were 50 pedestrians killed in 2020 in Philadelphia. There were 6 bicyclists killed that year. There were 8 cyclists and 42 pedestrians killed in 2021. In the first quarter of 2023, Philadelphia has already seen 13 pedestrian fatalities and 4 cyclist deaths. At Zavodnick & Lasky Personal Injury Lawyers, our injury lawyers primarily serve the following localities: Bella Vista, Callowhill, Center City West, Center City, Chinatown, Cobbs Creek, Fishtown, Fitler Square, Franklintown, Logan Square, Midtown Village, North Philadelphia East, North Philadelphia West, Penn’s Landing, Rittenhouse Square, Old City, Spring Garden, South Philadelphia, University City, Washington Square West.In 2017, Jim Kenney, Mayor of Philadelphia, announced the city’s new “Vision Zero” initiative. The goal is to eliminate fatal crashes by the year 2030 through a process that involves:

To put that number in perspective, there are an average of 28 car accidents in Philadelphia County every day. That works out to be more than one crash every single hour of every day in the year. Twenty years ago, “outside the vehicle” deaths accounted for 20 percent of all traffic fatalities. Today, “outside the vehicle” deaths account for more than one-third of all traffic accident fatalities. Despite the fact that Philadelphia boasts one of the lowest rates of car ownership in the country, there are a staggering number of traffic accidents in the city every year. These accidents can result in significant injuries and damages; it’s important to reach out to a reputable Philadelphia car accident lawyer in the aftermath of an incident.

Traffic accidents will still continue to be problematic, however, if drivers don’t take matters into their own hands. Safer roads, reduced speed limits, and new traffic laws will only go so far. Driving accidents will still happen. Drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians in Philadelphia will have to make a concerted effort to practice safe commuting habits. Only then will Philadelphia see a drop in car accidents on its city streets.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Philadelphia County has the most number of traffic deaths per capita in the United States. This meant that when crash data and population are compared, Philadelphia County roads are more dangerous than those in bigger cities like New York and Los Angeles. In fact, “a higher proportion of traffic deaths are happening ‘outside the vehicle,’ a category that includes motorcyclists and their passengers as well as pedestrians and bicyclists.”

Rounding out the five cities with the highest fatality rates are: Louisville, Kentucky (No. 2); Oklahoma City (No. 3); Tulsa, Oklahoma (No. 4); and Jacksonville, Florida (No. 5). The safest cities in this category include: Honolulu (No. 46); Milwaukee (No. 47); New York City (No. 48); Minneapolis (No. 49); and Boston (No. 50).The COVID-19 pandemic has made a noticeable impact on traffic volume during the past few years. Between 2019 and 2021, the number of vehicle miles traveled in the U.S. dropped by 3%, according to The Road Information Program (TRIP), a nonprofit organization that studies surface transportation issues. A recent U.S. News & World Report survey of driving habits bears this out: 49% of those surveyed say they drive less now than they did before the pandemic.

Memphis tops the list of riskiest cities for U.S. drivers, according to our analysis. It ranks No. 1 when it comes to fatal car accidents per capita and No. 1 for people involved in fatal crashes per capita. In addition, Memphis is ranked No. 9 when it comes to the fatality rate per 100 million vehicle miles traveled.
Albuquerque, New Mexico, topped our ranking of cities with the highest fatality rate per 100 million miles traveled. The city, New Mexico’s most populous, is also No. 2 in our ranking of riskiest U.S. cities overall for drivers.

Which country has most car accidents?
The United States has one of the biggest road networks in the world, and it also has one of the highest rates of drivers. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the United States also has the largest number of car accidents in the world.
The FBI defines DUI as: “Driving or operating a motor vehicle or common carrier while mentally or physically impaired as the result of consuming an alcoholic beverage or using a drug or narcotic.” Bakersfield, California, leads the nation when it comes to the rate of motor vehicle theft. The city, which is located in the southern San Jauquin Valley, also is rated the No. 11 riskiest city overall, based on our analysis. U.S. News & World Report commissioned a study of the 50 largest U.S. cities to determine which are the safest and riskiest for drivers. The study looked at data on fatal auto accidents per capita in each city from 2016 to 2020. It also looked at the number of people per capita involved in fatal crashes in each city during that same time frame. Each factor was ranked by indexing the values. The top-ranked value received a value of 100; the lowest-ranked value received a value of zero; and the rest fell in between. An index was then multiplied according to how that factor was weighed, with all factor weights adding up to 100%.

U.S. News & World Report ranked the nation’s 50 most populated cities on several factors that determine how risky or safe a city is for drivers. The overall rankings ordered cities from No. 1 (riskiest) to No. 50 (safest).
But that lighter traffic volume has not resulted in fewer traffic fatalities. During that same three-year span, reported traffic fatalities increased by about 19% – from 36,096 in 2019 to 42,915 in 2021, according to the TRIP study.Honolulu (No. 48) also stands out when it comes to safe driving: It was rated No. 50 in people involved in fatal crashes per capita, and it was ranked No. 49 in fatal accidents.

What state has the most car accidents per year?
1. South Carolina. With a 12% at-fault accident rate, South Carolina drivers cause the most accidents in the country in 2022. Unlike Massachusetts, however, the Palmetto State also has the highest traffic fatality rate in the nation.
Rounding out the top five cities for overall risk are: Albuquerque, N.M. (No. 2); Detroit (No. 3); Louisville, Ken. (No. 4); and Tuscon, Ariz. (No.5). Two other Arizona cities also are in the top 10: Phoenix (No. 6) and Mesa (No. 8).

The cities of Colorado Springs and Denver top the nation in driving under the influence (DUI) arrests per capita at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. The cities of Milwaukee (No. 3); Seattle (No. 4); and Albuquerque, New Mexico (No. 5) round out the top five. The five safest cities in this category are Tampa, Florida (No. 46); Miami (No. 47); Chicago (No. 48); Columbus, Ohio (No. 49); and Boston (No. 50).
The degree of risk a driver faces is determined by a number of factors, including where they live, how many miles they drive, and the type of car they own. Where someone lives also can influence how much they pay for auto insurance. For example, the average annual car insurance rate is less than $900 in Lebanon, New Hampshire, while the average annual rate is more than $3,300 in Miami. Rounding out the top five cities for motor vehicle theft are Denver (No. 2); Albuquerque, New Mexico (No. 3); Portland, Oregon (No. 4); and Oakland, California (No. 5). Motor vehicle thefts are least likely in Tampa, Florida (No. 46); Raleigh, North Carolina (No. 47); El Paso, Texas (No. 48); New York City (No. 49); and Boston (No. 50).

Where are car crashes most common?
The most common places that experience automobile accidents are rural areas, interstates, intersections, and parking lots. Additionally, most vehicle mishaps happen close to an accident victim’s home.
In addition, it examined the average fatality rate per miles traveled in each state from 2019 to 2021; the number of DUI arrests per capita in each state from 2017 to 2019; and the rate of auto thefts from 2019 through 2021.Despite their size, larger U.S. cities such as San Francisco (No. 42), Seattle (No. 43), Chicago (No. 45), and New York (No. 49) are near the bottom of the list of riskiest cities for drivers. Boston (No. 50) is considered the least risky overall for drivers. Massachusetts’ biggest city also ranked last in motor thefts per 100,000 people and last in DUI arrests per capita.

For more information, see the developer’s privacy policy.Thought this app would be nice to have. I already use Waze. I typed in my destination and it wouldn’t give me the directions unless I signed up for their program. 3 day free trial made me laugh. I’m not paying $6 a week for navigation that I already have in my phone and car for free. I’d possibly pay $6 for a one time purchase, but $6 a week is a little much considering that again, everyone has navigation in their phones or in their cars for free.

How many car accidents are there in Philadelphia?
How Common Are Car Accidents in Philadelphia? While the full data for 2022 and 2023 is not yet available, the most recent report published by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation tells us that there were 10,417 car accidents in Philadelphia County in 2021 (the highest reported in any PA county).
I know for regular drives it’s really great buy personally i drive doordash/Ubereats and they sadly don’t have option for traffie ☹️ if only they did this was my favorite map app by far

The drunk driver didn’t “accidentally” get behind the wheel of their car, just like they didn’t “accidentally” drink the alcohol or take the drugs that inhibited their decision making. They knew, or should have known, that driving in that condition would be a bad idea.
Some of the most common motor vehicle “accidents” are those caused by adverse weather conditions. If a sudden snowstorm leads to a white-out which makes it impossible for any drivers to safely operate their car and a collision occurs, it may be deemed an “accident.” Any collision that results in injury or even in damage to your property is, of course, an event that you want to avoid. Most people lump all of these incidents into the category of “accidents,” but, to us and the clients we represent, there are some important differences between “accidents” and “crashes.” In such situations, each party would be responsible for their own damages. Insurance companies tend to prefer the term “accident,” as it helps them to evade their responsibility to cover damages.A DUI crash is a prime example of reckless and egregious conduct that would in no way be considered an “accident,” no matter what the drunk driver or their attorneys say. The DUI driver made a willful decision to get drunk, and that choice caused a series of poor decisions that led to them hitting another person. The process of recovering compensation for your car, motorcycle, or bike crash (even those that others label as “accidents”) can be complex and may require the drafting, submitting, and negotiation of your claim with the insurance company and their attorneys. Working with an attorney of your own supports your best interests and increases your chances of receiving the highest possible settlement in your favor.

The term “accident” deflects blame, or shifts blame from a person to some other cause, such as the weather. Using the word “accident” allows insurance companies to more easily deny claims and juries to more easily avoid assigning fault to negligent parties.
As defined by Farlex Legal Dictionary, an accident is “an event that takes place without one’s foresight or expectation; an undesigned, sudden, and unexpected event.” When a collision is truly an “accident,” then the determination of fault isn’t an issue because by definition, no party is at fault.Remember that even when the insurance company’s policyholder caused the crash, the insurer will do everything to deny or devalue your claim. This is true for car crashes and even more so for motorcycle collisions, injured bicyclists, pedestrians, people with strollers, and people in wheelchairs who were hit simply trying to cross the street. An experienced Charlotte car accident lawyer from our firm is available to advocate for your best interests in your car crash or accident. If you were hurt on your bike, in your car, or in any incident involving driver negligence, it’s important to hire an attorney who knows the difference between a crash and an accident. Capable lawyers use consistent language when dealing with insurance companies in an effort to prevent them shifting the blame onto you.
There is no legal difference between the terms “crash” and “accident” but they create different impressions. A crash is a wreck or collision that is due to the fault of one or more parties. When you’re in a car, motorcycle, or bike crash, the party responsible for the crash will be liable for the damages to the other parties involved.

1. The Traditional Method: The old school recommendation is relatively simple: Keep your emergency contact with you whenever you are in a car. Your emergency contact should be fully updated. It should clarify who needs to be contacted (and how) should a serious accident occur. As a general rule, your ‘in-case-of-emergency’ card should be located in the same place as your driver’s license. It might be in your wallet or in your purse. In the aftermath of a very serious car accident, emergency first responders tend to look for a person’s driver’s license to determine their identity.
3. Friends, Family, and Other Personal Contacts: Finally, you may also be able to get information by reaching out to your friends, family, and other personal contacts. They can sometimes have better information than the authorities—especially if the hospital and the police cannot seem to track down any information at all. It may be that your loved one is dealing with the aftermath of a relatively modest accident on their own. Alternatively, there may not have been a crash.

2. Police Departments: State and local law enforcement agencies may also be able to provide basic information about auto accidents. If you call a local police department, they may be able to tell you if an official crash report listed a person’s name as having been involved in an accident in recent days/hours. The only downside is that it often takes a little bit of time before a person’s name is entered into the system. As an example, if a crash happened 45 minutes ago, local dispatch may not yet have any details on who was involved.

What U.S. state has the least car accidents?
Safest state for drivers: Massachusetts. Most dangerous state for drivers: South Carolina. Most fatal crashes per capita: Wyoming.Fewest fatal crashes per capita: New York.State with the highest average car insurance premiums: Rhode Island.State with the lowest average car insurance premiums: Hawaii.
If your loved one was injured in a major car accident in Las Vegas, there are steps that you can take to help protect their health, safety, overall well-being, and legal rights. Among other things, you should do the following:

It should be noted that police officers in Las Vegas try to make an effort to notify a person’s closest loved ones if a serious accident has occurred. Unfortunately, the process is not always smooth—in some cases, law enforcement officers have trouble getting access to emergency contact information.
The aftermath of a serious crash can be chaotic. Not just at the accident scene itself, but also at the hospital and the police station. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult for family members, friends, and other loved ones to get access to the information that they need. There are some proactive steps that you and your family members can take ahead of time to help ensure that information is shared after a serious accident. Here are two strategies:Call us now or send us a message to arrange your free, no-obligation initial legal consultation. You and your loved ones do not have to go up against big insurance companies alone. Our attorneys will do everything in their power to protect you.The use of the Internet or this form for communication with the firm or any individual member of the firm does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Confidential or time-sensitive information should not be sent through this form.

2. A Tech-Savvy Approach: In recent years, more and more technology companies are rolling out new applications for car accidents. There are a number of different smartphone apps available that are designed to help handle an emergency situation after an accident. Some of the most popular examples are SOSmart and iWrecked. Some of these apps are built to make sure that police and first responders have access to your emergency contact information. Other smartphone applications are more advanced. They detect when an accident occurred and send an immediate message to the authorities and an emergency contact.
This raises an important question: How can you find out if someone you know was injured in a car accident? The short answer is that there are three basic ways to track down this information: 1) the hospital, 2) the police, and 3) personal contacts. Here, our Las Vegas car accident attorneys provide a more in-depth explanation of how you can find out if someone was hurt in a crash. At Ladah Law Firm, our Nevada car accident lawyers work tirelessly to help injured victims secure their future. With a long record of successful results, our firm has recovered more than $150 million in financial compensation on behalf of injured victims. If your loved one was seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision, we are more than ready to get started on your case.We tend to take risks when we are familiar with a setting. That holds with just about every aspect of life. You are far more likely to get into a vehicle of someone you know, for example, than to jump into a vehicle of a total stranger.

According to multiple sources, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA,) most car crashes happen within five miles of an accident victim’s home.
Auto accidents are a sad, frustrating, and scary fact of life for just about every driver. Even drivers with clean driving records have been in an accident at some point in their driving experience. That raises a key question:Each year, road construction workers and police on detail are struck and, all too often, severely injured or worse. Rear-end accidents frequently happen on road shoulders and in construction zones where the right lane is closed. If a driver is not paying attention, a construction zone can sneak up on a driver and not leave them time to take evasive action. There’s bound to be a time when you’re an injured party in a car accident. Once you’re able to contact the police, get the contact details of the other party as well as witnesses, and then contact a personal injury lawyer to help you. Another place most car accidents happen is on rural roads. That rural areas see more accidents also makes sense. Most rural roads are two-lane, have few barriers to prevent animals from running out on them. Additionally, these roads have poor or nonexistent lighting, and because police are not present, drivers tend to push the envelope regarding speed.

Drivers with less experience will generally venture closer to home than further away. Younger drivers contribute to a significant number of both nonfatal and fatal auto accidents.
Most people assume that the winter months or a holiday known for drinking are when most accidents occur. One of the deadliest days with the most accidents, though, is July 4th. It is hard to imagine that drinking is a factor in that statistic since the 4th of July is not known exclusively for drinking. Here is a summary that answers the question “where do most car accidents happen,” as well as general similarities that exist across almost all vehicular mishaps.

Having a car crash near your home makes sense if you think about it. You drive most around where you live, and the more you drive, the more likely you will put yourself in a situation that can result in an accident.
These count under the umbrella of intersections, but many deserve their category. Often, people do not see stop signs until they are right in front of them. Other times, the order of right of way can be confusing. Both scenarios are recipes for disaster if someone is not paying enough attention. Additionally, motorists tend to beat red lights, thereby increasing the likelihood of vehicle collisions. Each has the default effect of keeping younger drivers close to home. Because they make up a disproportionate number of traffic accidents, those will happen closer to home.

In many ways, parking lots are free-for-alls that can be described as organized chaos at best. The chaos is particularly bad at busy intersections and during peak traffic periods such as major shopping days during the holidays. The good news is that most parking lot accidents are not serious, although the damage to vehicles can sometimes be extensive.
That stands to reason, given lower visibility and the likelihood that drivers have impaired focus during these periods. Nonfatal accidents happen more often late in the afternoon during the drive home. That also makes sense, given that people are hurrying to get home and traffic volume is greater than normal.

What cities have the most car accidents per capita?
Memphis tops the list of riskiest cities for U.S. drivers, according to our analysis. It ranks No. 1 when it comes to fatal car accidents per capita and No. 1 for people involved in fatal crashes per capita.
A car accident can happen anywhere and involve just about anything. Additionally, recent studies suggest that car accidents are happening more frequently. The most common places that experience automobile accidents are rural areas, interstates, intersections, and parking lots. Additionally, most vehicle mishaps happen close to an accident victim’s home.Any intersection has at least two separate pathways for vehicles to maneuver, often coming at each other from the opposite direction. Most intersections have four separate pathways, plus traffic turning in front of oncoming traffic. You would be right in assuming that accidents happen frequently at these junctures since the risk for collision is high.

For many, the fear of being ticketed is enough to make them slow down, drive with more caution and take extra measures to be safe when they are far away from home than if they are right around the corner.
Libya has 73.4 car accidents per 100,000 people.
